I pirated Spore too, and played it for a few days. I forget what happened then, probably that I tried to install creature packs and they were done stupidly and wouldn't work without me screwing with stuff, but long story short I decided I was done with it.
If only the game had lived up to what we thought we'd get, a game where it was impossible to be bored...

That, and I don't think there's much they can sue them for there, unless they infringe copyright somehow, which would be kinda hard seeing as the entire game is almost entirely user generated. I guess if you stole the entire game and tried to sell it under a different name...?
