My favorite artists would have to be Luca Turilli, Rhapsody, Unexpect, Tub Ring, and Danny Elfman.

But anyway, continuing. I listen to a huge range of stuff, from heavy metal to hardcore punk, but the broadest categories I guess would be power metal, melodic death metal, heavier jrock, hardcore punk, progressive metal, and the odd bit of ska. If we're trying not to be genre nerds, I mean. Which I sorta failed at here.

I just LOVE music in general. The only genre I don't care for too much is Country, but thats only because today's top Country artists keep making the same songs and using the same damn riffs. No one is experimenting anymore in that genre. I do however like Country music pre-90s. Think of the classic songs like "Black Velvet" or "Strawberry Wine" those were huge in their time, they were different than the others.

03/15/2009 23:16 | Can't say I've ever found a thrash metal band I like, the closest thing I listen to is The Haunted, who are somewhere in between melodic death metal and thrash metal. Nearly got punched out on multiple occasions for saying I don't like Slayer, but dear god, the vocals just kill it for me. Forget what song it was, but I had my mp3 player on shuffle like usual while I had decided to give Slayer a chance, and the intro was a minute and a bit long, and I was like hey this is good, I don't recognize it though, then the vocals started and I was like yeah, next song.
My bad if you're a Slayer fan, but thrash metal vocals just aren't for me :/
