12/20/2009 19:41 | I put on some equips I had gotten from my guild's armory. WHen I went out exploring,. the only thing that I recieved were the HP gains. Nothing else. I mean they aren't really working. One's a beach boar tooth of Valor, and the other is an unorthodox goblin mage wand fragments.

12/22/2009 11:05 | It's likely just the shittiness of the damage formula. It does actually help but you're so strong that the formula has a lot of variance. I'll get to it eventually.

12/30/2009 06:16 | THey really aren't working. Please, don't give me excueses for not checking the code. Because I used the equips on a weaker monster. I tried it on a stronger monster (with stronger equips) and again they didn't work. I mean I coujld tell. The added attack was like +9 attack and when I took him out with equips there was NO BOOST.

01/03/2010 17:35 | When I noticed some of mine weren't working, (adding bonus stats) I just reequipped them and it seemed to be fine.
I don't know if freeze can be stopped with resistance but that was the only thing I noticed (Enchanted Mist can be deadly).

01/03/2010 19:01 | Yeah. For weaker players, deformed chimera could be a problem. Impetus+damage, over and over and over, means death, because you can do nothing until you raise your con high enough to kill it.

01/04/2010 11:02 | They are the few challenges you can expect in an area. MonBre isn't really a hard game. You can only stop frost/knockdown with various passive abilities.
Your insolence is getting annoying, killer. I just tested it. I saw your monsters. They have the appropriate amount of stat bonuses. Now shut up.

And, the difference is very obvious in the training arena, especially for very weak monsters.

The attack added up to about +10 attack in total, and, though it showed the boost on the stat page, i went exploring and NOTHING changed. THis was on a cpower 5 mon. I shoulda seen SOMETHING. I should've been able to go to silvamed. But I couldn't

Could it have been just bad encounters? You know, the toughest of the bunch.
Maybe you needed higher of other stats too? Usually Accuracy or Speed help with Attack.
Your CPower should be close to the mob's level, preferably a bit higher.
But, for sure that monster would have done better with the training.

01/05/2010 05:13 | I was facing a dire wolf. Without equips on, 9-10 damage to the wolf, and maybe another speed attack. with 'em on, about 9-10 damage and maybe a speed attack. I am saying NOTHING changed. Except for the added hp.

01/05/2010 11:24 | About a year ago, I wasn't a great designer and I tried to make a better equip system. This is why it wasn't showing on the weaker monsters: it was raising them by a percentage of the actual stat, which made it so that the monsters with like 10 strength would just not feel the effects, while the stronger monsters could still benefit from weak equips.
Anyway, I've now changed back to a simple system that is even much easier on the server. Battles should in theory load faster.  Thanks for making me actually look at the battle formula. That being said, the formula still is a little messed up, I guess not as bad as I thought it was.
