Emails have gone out explaining this. Because I didn't want to message anyone who just signed up to the game and left soon after, I spent some time deleting some very old and unaccomplished accounts. For your interest, this left me with 2,856 people to email!
Old accounts have had their game data deleted but their user record has been kept, with username, email, and password blanked out. Their game name, forum posts, and mails have been left intact in the rare case you'll see them again.
While we're here: MonBre is still in passive development, but of course it's been a while without an update; it has not been forgotten. I really want to give an update this year, which will include changing the way mob abilities are triggered. Right now, it's completely random, which emphasizes luck and makes it hard to appreciate certain mobs in the wild and especially bosses. My limited development time is spent on tinydark's projects (www.tinydark.com) which, unfortunately, do not support the visually impaired right now. I'm also finally moving to South Carolina this Autumn. The idea is to enjoy the new house and code some monbre in my leisure time there.
Garret! My evilness, it's been years. Get in touch.
I came to MonBre/this thread to say that while MonBre is still in passive development, and I really want to make an update this year, it's looking like I will have to delay further development until 2019. I plan to blaze some trails in the new year and along with my move, (now scheduled for early January) I just can't justify the time spent on MonBre right now.
Good news! While my development time is constrained for more future-relevant projects, my recreation time is not. I really want to get another update out this year before I move -- as my house has been delayed yet another month -- so instead of a night of gaming, I'll have a night of coding MonBre and finishing off this fine bottle of spiced rum. I plan for the 26th.
