Hi.

My monsters are ready to evolve.

while this is obviously a good thing, i seem to be being asked what evolution i'd like for them.

Mostly this seems to be a set of images. Does it make any practical difference to the game and my monsters' stats what evolution I choose for them? or is this just a cosmetic image thing.

I assumed for example, that once a monster was a given type, it would stay that type forever amen, ---- though I could be wrong.

Appologies for yet another annoying question.

No problem, ask as many questions as you want. That's what we're here for!

It used to be that the different monsters gave different stats. Now, though, they all give a set amount of SRP, because it's more balanced that way. So yes, it's just a cosmetic thing, you can pick whichever picture you want.

It would be nice if you had to be a high enough trainer level to unlock a certain evolution which gives more SRP
Or not, since it could be bad for nubs

Well, no, it would be bad for the game. Because older people are already strong enough to beat content that's not even in the game yet, which is bad because then it takes no time at all to rush through it. Which is bad because then there needs to be a steady stream of stuff to do, which isn't always possible.

Make sense? There'd be no downside for newer players, but there'd be no benefit for them, either. Since it only benefits people who don't need any help... See where I'm going with that?

Unlockable monsters is of course a great idea, just not the srp thing. It'd be better to do more stuff like the chimera type, but differently again. heck if I had my powerpoint I got an idea for one where there are branching evolutions so that you add a feature each evolution, and that feature is fixed, so u can add onto that feature, or add another, but what's done is done.
If everything's right, what's left?

Thanks for the information, --- I'll be glad to evolve them then.

On the wider balance issue, ---- while I'm not sure about more giving more srp to experienced trainers is a good plan, ---- the ability to teach your monsters more attacks sounds fun.

More attacks are going to be added later, through the story and stuff. There'll be awesome class specific stuff, and maybe general attacks all your monsters can use... Don't take my word for that, though, but anything's possible excited emoticon
