Is there a bonus to SRP gain when your monster faces a monster that's stronger than it is? Like, say my monster had 5 combat power and fought a level 20 monster. Would I gain extra SRP?

If not, then that'd be kinda cool to have, unless you think that'd break stuff due to people switching in weak monsters at the last second.
But when that call never comes, it's time to face what you've become - there's no point doing all of this, unless you know you're having fun.

On a side note but related, I noticed that when you fight stronger versions of the same mobs, it doesn't change the SRP gain at all. Like 1 golem has 100 hp and the other has 140 and hits harder/more often, but they both give the same xp. It would be nice if there was some small difference in gains.

I wasn't paying attention to that, I always thought there was a small difference. I guess that was monster dependent and not level related, though.

Even just 38 SRP for level 10 golem, 39 for 11, 40 for 12, etc. would be fine.
