By boss do you mean god, or just regular bosses? Regardless, I've set it for all bosses to give instant 100 energy when you win... or lose.

When I first noticed I don't know if it was with a god but I think it happened with the nightmare ghost and the Heroktopus of which one time it actually went to negative energy.
I was paying attention with Bungle this time though. I had 48 energy and went to finish him with a Big Tackle and when I was back on exploring only had 8 energy.
Let me see what happens the next time or if anyone else has something to add.
But, like I said this isn't a big deal.

I stopped negative energy happening about 3 days ago, it is literally not possible to see it outside of the pve.php file. I'm not sure the problem with big tackle? If I remember correctly, it's 40 energy.

Vuala! I figured it out.
Yes, you were right Vael but it's not 40 for Big Tackle it's 20.
Okay, it happens with any mob when they die from a status effct.
If the last move your monster does consumes energy the consumption doubles.
I'm trying to get 200 golems right now so I was able to test it well. What ever the last move with energy consumption is, it doubles if the golem dies from poison.
Almost forgot, when I was fighting Bungle my Big Tackle wasn't strong enough so it died from poison. And there you have it.

Ah, I see why it happened. It had to do with (of course) changing the new HP system I did like a month+ ago. Thanks.
