Hi.

I'm not sure if this counts as a suggestion or question, --- but I'll make it anyway.

I'm another one of those people with a lack of eyeballs, --- ie, I'm visually impared.

the game does in fact work very well with screen readers, and though the minimap and world map aren't particularly helpful, I'm having fun wandering around looking for things (I admit, I'm a bit of a hard core exploration freak).

The only question I have is to do with terain.

In the training center, i get told the arena type and how it effects the battle. I have enough eyeballs to tell that the spaces on the map are coloured (though i'm not precisely sure which one i'm clicking on), so I presume these represent different terrain types, and battles in those areas will be subject to the same restrictions as in the center.

However obviously, with lack of eyeballs this isn't possible to tell.

Also, currently exploring doesn't actually feel like wandering around a world all that much, sinse all the information I have is a set of coordinates and different tyles to click on.

How about therefore adding some location descriptions to the map tyles, describing the current environment and terrain?

something along the lines of:

"Your walking through a dense woodland, the trees so close together very litle light reaches the forest floor. You here rustling from all around and keep a wary eye on the undergrowth"

this would add something to the ame for everyone, as well as make things more accessible.

I'd also be willing to write a number of descriptions for each terrain type (obviously more than one would be needed), if that would help.

The exploration tiles? Some do have names.
I'm not sure if you mean to label evry tile or how the labeling of the tiles work but isn't it about 9,000,000?

Perhaps the Minimap could say something about the general terrain according to within certain coordinates.

PS I had mentioned something about the appearance of the minimap in the GPS suggestion topic.

Labeling of tiles would be nice, --- though as you said, I'm not sure how practical that'd be given the number of them.

What I mean is, text descriptions for each terrain type which would be read as you move onto them. while there are indeed probably several million tyles, I'm guessing there is a much smaller number of possible terrain types for each of them.

by going off the terrain type and not the tyle itself, I though it would both increase the atmosphere of the game, make it more accessible, and hopefully (sinse I assume each terrain type also factors into the battle arena as well as what sort of image is used on the map), not be too horrendous to add to the game.

So every time you moved onto a new terrain type, it would have a little text? That would be kinda cool, and I can see it fitting well with the rest of the game.

Most of the terrain doesn't have any effects right now, but the ones that do have effects will say on the main exploration screen. Mar'Muras, I think, has something about taking more damage while using the strong style...

I think Vael plans on adding terrain effects, and backgrounds in the battles based on your terrain. Eventually, anyway.
But when that call never comes, it's time to face what you've become - there's no point doing all of this, unless you know you're having fun.

I can pull off that effect with the minimap's replacement, I think. You'll see. Basically I'm planning to have terrain effects, information on the mobs, and possibly the weather. We're really going to see how it works out because I have a lot of things to code in the next month and I still need to make real money IRL.

Also... we do not have 9 million tiles. We have about 900,000. However, a lot of that is water. MonBre is not a generic world full of generic mobs or anything. Everything I do makes sense, all the mobs have a reason for being there or a reason they are designed in a way.

Also also yes I do plan on that, Demi.

Great! I'll look forward to more text, not just because of the gameplay differences and terrain effects, but also sinse then the game might be what I've been looking for online for years, ----- ie, an online rp game with an explorable world and many quests which doesn't boil down to just grinding and pvp.

As I said, if you wish help in the descriptive text line, ---- just let me know.
