Doesn't the GPS let you do that already? I could be wrong, I can't remember the last time I used it. But I thought you could set it to I need to go here, and it'd be like great, do this.
But when that call never comes, it's time to face what you've become - there's no point doing all of this, unless you know you're having fun.

I wish it'd identify if there was water or mountains in the way.

That's really tough to do. The best way is to look at the world map, but even then it's not that reliable. I'll try to think of a way to do that.
Belichko - definitely doable. I'll try to get it in after tomorrow's update.

It'd be nice if it could indicate near by areas too.

Oops, I guess I jumped the gun but...
A bit of tweecking for Minimap?
I use a screen reader and this is what I get.
From Silvamed, copied from Minimap
"Macromedia Flash Movie Start
Mini
Map
900 1000
1300
Danger
New Orsa
Danger
1200
Silvamed
Macromedia Flash Movie end
Coordinates in Flash are not always as they appear.
But we try to make them be."
I figured out that it's 100 squared so it should be more like:
X 900 to 1000 Y 1200 to 1300
And the buttons for special locations do work so that's fine.
I was just a bit confused since I can't see the layout.
PS the minimap for X 1000 to 1100 Y 1000 to 1100 may be wrong.

Personally, i don't find finding routes quite as much of a problem, sinse it's just a matter of working around the obstacles, and noting the coordinates of useful places.
Some more information on coordinates of danger would be nice, though it is possible to live without them allbeit getting my monsters minced occasionally.
Btw, I love the secret of mana music when you die.
There are three ways to do things, the right way, the wrong way and my! way.
My way is like the wrong way, ----- but faster!

You guys really don't have to worry about the minimaps much longer because I plan to have a little blurb that tells the information of the place around where you are.
Also, I don't know if your readers see it, but you may see "roads" - these are going to be deleted soon because I'm going to make a better way to show roads.
