Eh I dunno. I'll see.

Is there a difference between having a bar with percentages like the energy and one with numbers like HP? I can see how there'd be a difference, that was why I thought there wasn't one in the first place. Since it would have to calculate the percentage, then map that onto the bar.
But when that call never comes, it's time to face what you've become - there's no point doing all of this, unless you know you're having fun.

My limited programming knowledge tells me that is not that difficult, but I like it most just numbers...as percentages won't represent the real number...

That's why I was thinking both, and it's fine for the most part, just sometimes you're like oh hey a nice full bar, O SHI my HP is yellow!

Yes, having numbers over a bar would be tough for me because it's got some kinda OOP thing I haven't learned, and it's not like you just look up a function and do it. On top of that, what we have now is fine, really.

Oh, so it couldn't just calculate the percentage and fill in a bar. This is what I get for lying to people and saying I code stuff.
I was assuming it'd be easy to do, which was why I suggested it. If it's not all that easy, then don't worry about it.
Although, having HP always be a percentage and just having increased defense instead of HP... Stupid idea, but, possible.

Hmm? O.o No, PHP can fill in a bar. What I don't want to have it do is impress a number (their HP) over a graphic bar image. The code for stretching a bar would be simple. I actually don't run that code, however, because my friend offered to make 100 representations of HP (and energy) bars. xP

just for curiosity... have you tried putting the hp bar as a table and the background as the healthbar and the numbers on it? I think I've seen it before... I maybe wrong, I still have to present my final PHP exam

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh, no, I didn't mean on top like that. I just meant above, same as HP is above the energy bar now.
Sorry, I don't code anything because I'm useless and lazy, so my wording was a bit off there.

That tends to get really messy. >__< I don't like the look anyway.
