POLL: Should we just screw the avatar system?

I mean I'm thinking it really is just not that awesome. There's only a few people and already avatars are looking bland. They were meant to distinguish between posters, and now I see a dog and it's like "Oh look CJ posted" except it's actually like, some other guy.

I think we should just go to custom avatars. Max of 80 x 80 pixels, only gif and jpg allowed.

What do you guys think? inb4 everyone agrees.

YEAH!!! I've got some hilarious avatars I could use [Not the rude/OTT ones] , I think having custom avatars would help but uploading them to the server would be bad, URL based ones would be the best idea....

? Why would uploading to the server be bad? They'd be under, say, 100k, and even if 1,000 people do 100k, that's only 100MB out of the 100 gigs I'm alotted.

Hmm... The less space took up the better is my motto, well that's how I keep my bedroom tidy

More like 100x100 pixels in size and the items are renders which go from 5x5 pixels to 30x42 in size...
