Monster Breeder Reference
How It Affects You

So how does this all "affect you"? Oh yes, it's all about you... well, it actually affects you quite a bit. Here is a scenario.

So it's your third day being a breeder, great! You now have two monsters, and one's a worker type. You decide to send that worker to work, and bring the other (let's say he's uh... evil!) to training. So you spend a good 30 minutes training and exploring, come back, and expect to, say, buy a new soulshard. Now you've already factored in the fact you lost some money due to income tax, that's fine. But then you forget you've got a 2% sales tax to face... eek! And you didn't pick up any good equips around your travels... I guess you'll have to wait 'till tommorow!

Now, of course, things aren't always going to be that tight, but hopefully you understand how you can be affected. Here, I will give an example of how you can be affected by bad mayoral skills. For this, you'll have to pretend we're in MonBre 2.0

So the taxes are fine, the NPC are doing great, crime rate's low. Unfortunately, the mayor's paying very little attention to hiring scouting parties to go kill the monsters that are attacking the cities, but he's at least paying some attention to the guards. So a few monsters get in and end up killing some NPCs and injuring you! So you spend some money fixing yourself up at the hospital that's been neglected a tad because the mayor was more concerned with having a great police force and school system. And sometimes, it's not even the mayor's fault; the city could be genuinely poor.
